Prep your Drush: Config files and site aliases

Drush is a wonderful, complex tool that has many many commands, parameters, tweaks, options, gadgets... Once you've invoked one command, parameter, tweak, option or gadget, you need to make sure that you do it the same way every time to get the same Results. It can get not only a bit repetitive, but quite messy to have to keep typing out those commands, parameters, tweaks, opt.... Oh, you get the idea...

You can put a lot of common setups into Drush config files, and specific options into site aliases and use them on local and remote systems to help keep everything running smoothly.

This session will assume a basic understanding of Drush and hopefully some familiarity with Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (no, it probably won't have anything to do with the session, I just hope you have some familiarity with it because I like the book). We'll look at what options go where and some of the more complex commands that really benefit from using these tweaks.
