Damien McKenna

Having worked with PHP since before the first beta releases of PHP 4 in 1999, Damien has built many content management systems on using variety of languages and frameworks but finally "settling down" with Drupal in 2008. After sinking his teeth into Drupal while migrating a skiing-themed site from a proprietary Java system to in Drupal 5, he saw how the values of a flexible architecture and huge international contributor base could out-shine proprietary solutions for 99% of project needs.

After skiing his way into Drupal, in 2009 Damien co-architected a large infrastructure & methodology for a national publisher to scale to their ~40 sites, then in 2010 left to bring his expertise to a wide variety of clients at Bluespark Labs.

You can find Damien "out and about" on the issue queues with his long-term goal of personally adding more patches than he does "subscribe" comments. When not Drupaling, Damien can be found hiking the hills of Keene, NH or building Lego with his family, and finding yet more things to tweet about.
